Day Date
I love when Chris and I both have days off! He surprised me last night by asking if I wanted to get brunch today. Unfortunately Leilani’s is closed on Mondays :( Instead we tried Homestyle Hawaiian. Reallyyyy good food, especially the ahi poke and gaddam was that ever the best lemonade I’ve ever had in my life. Lacks the atmosphere of Leilani’s, but still an enjoyable meal nonetheless.
Next stop, Balboa Park! After walking around and playing zitch-dog we found ourselves at the Japanese Friendship Garden and for once it wasn’t closed! After this we hung out at the fountain and watched this cutie patootie pitbull prance around, trying to talk himself into jumping into the water. He did eventually, and made it look so fun that I half wanted to do it myself.
Fashion Valley brought us some good sales and annoying salespeople. However, I will save that for another blog entry or maybe nasty Yelp review, as this is about my date and I will not let bad customer service ruin my date :)
The day ended at Nibans with more shiesty customer service (seriously management, hire better employees!) and a crunchy roll with too much cream cheese. All annoyances at other people aside, today was a lovely day and lovely way to start the new year with my love I love :)
